Tools to Consider
Apple QuickTime 10 (or later)
Camtasia (Mac)
educannon
Screencastomatic - This is a popular choice because it is web-based, works with both Macs and PCs, and has a free version (and the paid version is relatively inexpensive). The tool is fairly straightforward and intuitive. The website has a robust help section with tutorial videos. Please note this does not work in Chrome and it requires an updated version of Java. On a Mac I have had the most success using this in Firefox.
Jing- screencast
Snagit
There are many other screencasting tools available - we recommend checking with your IT department to see if they have software that they will be able to more fully support.
